Cat Cafe - Our Cats
Purrfect Cafe (purrfectcafe.ca), located at 2181 McNicoll Avenue in Scarborough, Ontario, is a premium cat cafe and lounge that combines specialty coffee, cat-themed desserts and the joy of interacting with our adoptable rescue cats.
The space features a thoughtfully designed Cat Lounge that houses 15-20 charming, friendly rescue cats, complete with enrichment items such as a cat wheel, scratching posts, fresh-running water fountains, climbing structures, and a dedicated quiet "cats only" retreat area for their comfort and well-being.
The Rescue Cats at Purrfect Cafe
The cats lounging at Purrfect Cafe are all rescues from SAINT Rescue and Adoption - Richmond Hill.
They are vetted, healthy, socialized (all of them spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped), and ready for adoption. You'll find a mix of ages, personalities, and breeds — from playful kittens to calm adults, shy ones warming up to affectionate cuddlers.
Each cat has a unique story of rescue and recovery, and spending time with them helps them build confidence and show off their true personalities to find the perfect match.
Other Centres
We have several ways to showcase our rescue cats. Many are in foster care or in personal residences in the Richmond Hill area. There are so many cats in our rescue that it is necessary to place them in temporary homes for socialization, medical care and a sense of safety.

When you choose to adopt a rescue cat from us, you're taking an important step in providing a loving home to a deserving animal.
The cats in our care are currently being nurtured by foster families who help them adjust to home life.
During the adoption process, you can look forward to learning more about their unique personalities and histories. We'll assist you every step of the way, ensuring a smooth transition for both you and your new feline friend.
Pet Valu - Abbey Lane
Located at 91 Rylander Blvd, Scarborough, Ontario
This store is conveniently situated at the intersection of Kingston Road and Rylander Blvd, near the Scarborough/Pickering border (close to areas like Rouge Hill and Port Union).
This Pet Valu location offers a wide range of pet supplies, including high-quality food, treats, toys, bedding, grooming products, and accessories for cats, dogs, and... our rescue cats.
It's a newer or relocated store (often referred to as "Pet Valu Abbey Lane"), with regular hours typically from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM most days.
Pet Valu partners with local animal rescues like us to support pet adoptions, often featuring adoption areas in stores or hosting special adoption events with partner organizations.

This store is situated in the Markham Steeles Centre plaza, near the intersection of Steeles Avenue East and Markham Road (in the Milliken/Markham border area of Scarborough/Toronto), making it easily accessible for residents in northeast Scarborough, Markham, and surrounding communities.
The store features knowledgeable Animal Care Experts ready to provide advice, and it supports pet parents with services like occasional self-serve dog wash stations (availability varies—call to confirm). Partnership with PetSmart Charities
Location - 1700 Elgin Mills Rd, Richmond Hill, Ontario
SAINT Rescue and Adoption - Richmond Hill location proudly showcases our rescue cats through PetSmart Charities (the charitable arm of PetSmart). The adoption centre provides a welcoming, high-traffic space inside the Richmond Hill PetSmart store where rescue cats can be viewed, socialized, and adopted — helping them transition from foster homes to forever families more quickly.
PetSmart Charities works with thousands of rescues nationwide to feature adoption centres in their stores, supporting lifesaving efforts by increasing visibility and foot traffic for adoptable pets. For SAINT Rescue, this means their vetted, healthy cats are showcased in a comfortable, interactive setting rather than in a traditional shelter, boosting adoption rates while raising awareness of rescue work in the Greater Toronto Area.
The Rescue Cats at PetSmart Adoption Centres
The cats available at the SAINT-operated adoption centre are all rescues from SAINT Rescue and Adoption. They are fully vetted (vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped where appropriate), healthy, and socialized — ranging from playful kittens to calm adults, bonded pairs, and special-needs cats with unique stories of survival and recovery.
Many come from tough starts but thrive with love, making them wonderful companions once matched properly.
